Now we are reading Elie Wiesel’s powerful memoir, Night. As we read continue to consider key questions that transcend time and culture. 

1.  What is the relationship between our stories and our identity?

2.  Who is part of our universe of obligation?

3.  To what extent are we all witnesses of history and messengers to humanity?

4.  What personal role do we as individuals play in creating a culturally sensitive world that respects all individuals’ views, differences, and ideas?

5. How can we learn from the mistakes of our past to make sure history does not repeat itself?

6. What are the far-reaching affects of hate and how does hate destroy individuals, famalies, communities, and societies?

I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are excited to begin the school year!  This is going to be an exciting year at TechBoston Academy.  Do not wait to get involved in your school and community.  Start today by getting to all your classes on time; helping a TBA freshmen, peer, or upperclassman; completing all your work to best of your ability; and expressing all your goals to your teachers.  We want to help you achieve and excel!  Let’s work together to make the 2008-2009 school year will be the best one TBA has had so far.

I am very happy to announce that I married my husband, Mark, on August 16th, 2008. We had a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Ignatius, the church located on the Boston College campus.  We then danced the night away with family and friends at a reception in Brookline, Massachusetts.  Therefore, my former name Ms. Bukowski has been changed to Ms. Cirigliano.  It’s a bit of a tounge twister, so please feel free to call me Ms. C!
